MEET JENNE
OWNER & MASTER STYLIST
Jenne is a master hairstylist and the owner of HI Lites Salon with 21 years of experienced. She feels so grateful for the ability to have her own salon and do what she loves after coming from humble beginnings in a tiny village in the Philippines. She works hard to make her clients comfortable and says "With my clients, I enjoy their company--we joke, have fun and we crack up laughing the whole time. I love my work!" She believes that hair is a perfect way of expressing ourselves. She's here to help you recreate your vision and the style you want to achieve.
MEET HEIDI
HAIR STYLIST
Heidi got her start doing hair at Paul Brown Salons in 2007 as an assistant to Paul Brown. In 2008 she became a stylist at Paul Brown Kailua where she worked until 2020, before joining the HiLites team. She loves making her clients feel their best selves, all while laughing and having fun with them. Heidi enjoys working with her clients to create looks they feel great in, from pixies to long lengths with layers to full colors and HiLites. When Heidi is not in the salon she can be found at her kids sporting events.
MEET ABBIE
HAIR STYLIST
Born and raised on the Windward side of O'ahu, Abbie graduated from Paul Mitchell the School Honolulu in 2017 and joined Hilites
Salon that December. She's passionate about helping clients look and feel their best, and loves building genuine, lasting relationships.
Her goal is to create a personalized, comfortable experience every time you're in her chair.
MEET SKYE
HAIR STYLIST
Skye Nakamura is a hairstylist with a passion for creating customized looks to help her clients feel their best! She graduated with honors in cutting and coloring from the prestigious Paul Mitchell the School Honolulu. Skye specializes in balayage and highlights, and has meticulously been working on her craft since 2020. Under the guidance from Jenne, the owner and master stylist of HiLites Salon, Skye has refined her technical skills
and techniques. She has a bubbly personality, heartwarming smile and most importantly... an all you can eat candy bowl! And lastly, Skye will cater to your wants and needs. Whether that's a therapy session, a relaxing scalp massage, or a session where you only say "hi" or "bye." So, book with Skye!
MEET TAKUJI
HAIR STYLIST
Takuji creates dynamic, yet delicate styling with stunning acumen and scissor skills. His philosophy of style: "A fusion of Japanese and Western Sensibility." Think Hollywood chic meets Japanese technique. "Simple and straightforward. Yet it's also a style with a subtle touch. That's his approach. Bringing forth and accentuating that person's ultimate beauty is what I help to do.
​After polishing his skills in Tokyo, TAKUJI headed on his own to America. He worked at a renowned salon in West Hollywood and the Paul Mitchell-affiliated Reve Salon at The Kahala Hotel & Resort in Oahu Hawaii before going freelance "I spend a lot of time consulting before cutting and styling because he feels it's important to have a sense of the customer's lifestyle for best results. He truly has fun with this work.
MEET KELSEY
HAIR STYLIST
Kelsey has been a hairstylist for over 14 years, specializing in French cutting techniques and air balayage. A fun fact about her is that she's allergic to traditional color an experience that inspired her to exclusively use natural, organic, and harsh chemical-free color lines. Her approach focuses on enhancing natural beauty with subtle, low-maintenance colors, helping clients feel confident and
authentic without the upkeep of dramatic color work. She also offers GlimmerLites Fairy Hair by K_Solutions damage-free tinsel strands that last and blend seamlessly into natural hair.
MEET WENDI
HAIR STYLIST
Wendi was born and raised in Kaneohe. If she’s not with her family traveling or relaxing at the beach, you’ll find her in the salon. She has always had a passion for all things beauty. Shortly after graduating cosmetology school in 2016, she then started her career as a full time hairstylist. She found her passion in precision hair cutting for men and women, but also loves the art and diversity of hair coloring. She believes, “If you look good, you feel good.”
MEET KANAI'A
HAIR STYLIST
Kanai'a is a graduate from Paul Mitchell the school Honolulu in 2013, Kanai’a is a hair color, Balayage and cutting specialist. She is always continuing her education in order to keep up on the latest techniques, trends and styles. She enjoys giving her clients new and exciting looks and makes sure to listen to her clients wants and needs each time they come in.
